NIST-UMD Workshop on Quantum Information and Computer Science (QuICS)
This is the "kickoff workshop" for a new Joint Center for Quantum Information and Computer Science (QuICS), created by the NIST Information Technology Laboratory (ITL) and the University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies (UMIACS). The purpose of the workshop is to initiate collaborations between researchers at QuICS and elsewhere, and to solicit ideas about research and activities that the QuICS center may pursue. This workshop follows the 2012 QIS Workshop in Computer and Natural Sciences.
The workshop will consist of several invited talks, and will run all day Monday and until late afternoon on Tuesday. On Monday afternoon there will be a panel discussion, followed by a poster session and a reception.
